Sports Anchor/Reporter (July 2015 - Present)

  • Produce, write, shoot, edit, and anchor nightly sportscasts on weekends for top-rated television station in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market

  • Report three days a week, covering Penn State, AAA baseball, AHL hockey, small colleges and high schools

  • Produce, write, shoot, edit, report and anchor for weekly and one-time sports specials, including bowl game preview shows, coaches shows, and Friday night high school football show “Super 16 Sports Final”

  • Received 2021 Emmy Award for Sports Talent, as well as a half-dozen additional nominations, from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter (October 2012 – May 2014)

  • Produced and anchored two, weekly 30-minute sports shows “Hawkeye Xtra” and “FOX 28 Sports Sunday,” as well as an extended sportscast Friday nights “The Xtra Point”

  • Partnered with Ed Thomas Family Foundation to start Emmy-Nominated Ed Thomas Coach of the Week segment highlighting local coaches who put life lessons above winning, honoring the late coach

  • Extensive live experience in the field, covering Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Iowa, minor league baseball, and high school sports

  • Stepped in as Interim Sports Director in June 2014, taking charge of scheduling, credentials, and the all-around success of the department

NBC MONTANA (KTVM-TV), NBC Television Affiliate (Bozeman, MT)

Sports Director (September 2010 – October 2012)

  • Anchored sports block of each newscast at 6 PM and 10 PM, five days a week

  • Produced, shot, edited, wrote, and delivered all local sports stories of the day as a one-man-band

  • Reported at all Montana State University football games and produced packages for KECI in Missoula, MT

Syracuse Sports Correspondent (August 2009 – May 2010)

  • Responsibilities included reporting at each home football, basketball, and lacrosse game, as well as posting feature stories related to Syracuse University athletics

Cape Cod Baseball League Correspondent (June 2009 – August 2009)

  • Baseball correspondent responsible for producing feature stories relevant to the Cape Cod Baseball League

 

CITRUS TV, Syracuse University Television Station (Syracuse, NY)

Associate Producer (January 2009 – December 2009)

  • Associate Producer of Cuse Countdown, the pre-game show for all Syracuse University football, men’s basketball, and lacrosse games, airing on Time Warner Sports 13 in Syracuse

  • Responsibilities included creating rundowns and segments, generating graphics, shooting press conferences and interviews, and overseeing the overall success of the show

  • Show was nominated for a College Emmy Award by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Sports Anchor (January 2009 – May 2010)

  • One of eight anchors of On the Bench, the nation’s longest-running collegiate sports show

  • Responsibilities included on-air duties such as reading highlights and interviewing guests, as well as off-air responsibilities such as writing and editing

FALMOUTH COMMODORES, Cape Cod Baseball League Franchise (Falmouth, MA)

Play-by-Play Broadcaster (June 2008 – August 2009)

  • Voice of the team for online daily broadcasts, including pre-game and post-game shows, as well as interviews with players, coaches, and special guests
